Heat treatment:
Alloy 1.4112 can be heat treated in order to improve its mechanical properties. The most common heat treatment conditions are:
Soft annealing (QT 700): Heating to 700–750°C followed by slow cooling in furnace air or in oil.
Quenching and tempering (QT 800): Heating to 800–850°C followed by quenching in oil or water, then tempering at 200–300°C.
